Follow these Great Motorcycle Back roads for a Great Day Ride Just Outside of Tellico Plains, Tennessee

This ride is easily accessed from the western end of the Cherohala Skyway.

Campgrounds and restaurants are either on or near the ride route.

This ride will "sweeten the pot" if you are riding the Tail of the Dragon or the Cherohala Skyway.

1The ride starts at the intersection of Tennessee SR-39 and SR-315 (Reliance Road).
2Turn LEFT onto SR-315.
3SR-315 (Reliance Road) will wind it's way south.
4In Reliance SR-315 ends at SR-30.
5Turn LEFT onto SR-30.
6SR-30 travels east a short distance past the Webb Brothers Store (look for the Texaco sign) and then heads south.
7More twisties as SR-30 meanders south.
8The last portion or SR-30 heading south towards US-64/74 passes thorough recreation areas with campgrounds and hiking trails. Be on the lookout for pedestrians and cars and RV's entering and leaving the road.
9SR-30 ends at US-64/74 and Lake Ocoee.
10Turn LEFT onto US-64/74.
11US-64/74 has much truck traffic which MUST cross the double yellow line to avoid rock outcroppings which their trailers will hit when they are westbound.

Use extreme CAUTION around all corners and be ready for trucks to crowd your lane.

When possible give the truckers the FULL corner to make their way, they will appreciate it!
12Follow US-64/74 as it winds along Lake Ocoee and the Ocoee River.
13As you approach Ducktown the road will become divided 4-Lane. Immediately after passing under the overpass for SR-68 exit to the right to enter SR-68 North.
14SR-68 North will provide plenty of challenging road as you head north. While not as tightly packed with curves as Reliance Road there are plenty of scenic areas and challenging curves.
15Follow SR-68 north all the way to Tellico Plains.
16The traffic light in Tellico Plains is where you can turn right to head to the Cherohala Skyway.

Continue straight to complete the loop.
17Turn LEFT onto SR-39 just past Tellico Plains.
18End of the ride loop.
